From 12 – 16 September 2024, Willen Hospice’s cycling challenge will take you from the hospice itself in Milton Keynes to the Eiffel Tower in Paris – a total of 270 miles and 8000ft of climbing over 4 days.
Challenge details
On day one we’ll leave from the hospice and work our way through the Chiltern Hills and picturesque Berkshire countryside to Farnborough. After an overnight here we’ll continue our journey to Newhaven, where we’ll catch the ferry across to Dieppe, before spending two days edging our way ever closer to the iconic Eiffel Tower and a victory dance!
You’ll have the opportunity to experience magnificent English countryside and picturesque French rural landscapes, all from your saddles! The route comprises a mixture of on-road and traffic-free sections, running primarily on quieter rural roads, with some busier sections as we arrive in to Paris. The terrain throughout the challenge is relatively flat with some rolling hills that make the ride challenging but very much accessible to everyone!
