We are thrilled to welcome Kate Broadhurst, our new CEO, who joins the Hospice following a 23 year career at the John Lewis Partnership.

During her career Kate has led multi-million pound department store businesses and held several head office strategic leadership roles.

As a local resident, Kate is deeply connected to the city and people of Milton Keynes and has supported the Hospice for many years. From personal experience, Kate knows first-hand the difference hospices make, providing care at such a key time when it’s needed most.

Kate says “I have always been inspired by the passion, dedication and commitment that everyone shows in providing this vital service and care to our local community. On meeting members of the team I felt the real pride and restlessness to continue to provide for patients and families at their time of greatest need, which is both humbling and inspiring.”

Kate has a full induction planned over the coming weeks which includes spending time with teams at the Hospice and offices in addition to getting out into the community with our Willen at Home team and meeting retail and warehouse colleagues.

“The Hospice is such an important part of Milton Keynes and the community and I just feel very privileged to work with all of the team to make sure that we continue to evolve and meet the needs of the population and are here to serve the community for many, many, many years to come.”

We’d like to offer our heartfelt thanks to Richard Alsop, who has stepped in as interim CEO over the past few months and been an incredible asset and support to the team.
