We think you’ll agree our incredible Allied Health Professions (AHPs) are an integral part of the team here at Willen Hospice.

We are lucky to have Art Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Social Care Assistants and Therapy Assistants working within our Therapeutic and Wellbeing Team.

Jurate, Social Care Assistant

Allied Health Professions comprise 14 different specialist roles and each of them their impact are celebrated on Allied Health Professionals Day. You may not know it, but most of us have likely been cared for by Allied Health Professional over our lifetime.

Karen, Art Therapist

The NHS define their multi-disciplinary approach as “Through Adopting an holistic approach to healthcare, AHPs are able to help manage patients’ care throughout the life course from birth to palliative care.  Their focus is on prevention and improvement of health and wellbeing to maximise the potential for individuals to live full and active lives within their family circles, social networks, education/training and the workplace.”
