We are very excited about our new Willen Hospice retail project, The Hangout! We hope to entice a variety of game-loving enthusiasts to our new shop in the Xscape complex in Central Milton Keynes.
Our innovative new charity shop will be the ultimate place to “hangout” with a play pass giving access to retro games consoles, a vast selection of arcade games as well as traditional board games, offering something for all ages. The shop will feature great value new and pre-loved games, toys and accessories and gamers can refuel with light refreshments.
Leila Blaize-Smith, Willen Hospice Retail Project Lead, commented “We are very excited to be partnering with Xscape to bring this great-value family friendly retail concept to Milton Keynes. As with all our charity shops, we rely heavily on our amazing volunteers, and we hope The Hangout will offer a new way for people to support our charity.”
We are still on the look out for people with a passion for gaming for good, to volunteer their expertise in their spare time.
Lisetta Carpenter, Willen Hospice Volunteer Services Coordinator, adds “This is a great opportunity for anyone with a passion for gaming to come and support a fantastic cause and provide an excellent customer experience. Volunteers need to be aged 16 and above and be able to commit to 4-hour shifts which can be worked any day of the week. Full training and support will be provided.”
