Local cyclists are invited to join a fancy dress Christmas cycle in aid of Willen Hospice, taking place on Saturday 18 December.

Organised by Broughton Cycling Group (BCG), the ride will see small groups of cyclists riding out to Salford, Cranfield High Street, through Newport Pagnell, and then on to the Hospice at Willen Lake North to drop off a donation and treats for the Hospice nurses and patients. Fundraising staff and volunteers from Willen Hospice will also be providing hot drinks and mince pies for a donation at their nearby offices.

Franklins Solicitors LLP are kindly sponsoring the event. They have donated some great prizes and will be making a donation to Willen Hospice jointly with BCG.

Rosanna Stimson, Marketing Manager, Franklins Solicitors, said, “Over the past 40 years, Franklins Solicitors LLP has helped thousands of local people and businesses with their legal matters. Our community is important to us and we are proud to sponsor the BCG Christmas Bike Ride to raise money for Willen Hospice and spread some Christmas cheer.”

Dawn Clark, Willen Hospice Challenges, said, “It’s great to have the support of BCG and Franklins Solicitors LLP. This has been another tough year for us with fewer people than usual taking part in our fundraising events due to the ongoing pandemic. I’m really looking forward to seeing all of the festive fancy dress and I hope lots of people sign up. It’ll be a lot of fun for a great cause.”

The ride is open to all cyclists of any ability, and fancy dress is encouraged but not mandatory. Request to join the ride here, or if you would like, you can just donate in support here.
