We’d like to say a massive WELL DONE to nine-year-old Emily who has managed to raise over £800 for Willen Hospice by challenging herself to cycle an entire marathon!

Emily said, “It was exciting, fun and easy, but a challenge because there was so much training – in total I’ve cycled 150 miles! Mummy and Daddy cycled the whole way with me, and my Aunty Jenni cycled the first eight miles, then my Aunty Sian and Cousin Ernie cycled the last four miles with me.

“My reasons for cycling the marathon is because I would like to do good in the world, and I would like everyone to be happy.  I chose Willen Hospice because it’s a local charity and a good cause.”

Dawn Clark, Challenges Fundraiser said, “Emily is an inspiration, taking on a challenge as big as this one to support her local Hospice at such a young age.  She’s raised a phenomenal amount, which will truly make a difference to the patients and families in our care.”
