Olney retailers unite to raise over £6000 for Willen Hospice with charity fashion show

A charity fashion show hosted by Olney’s top fashion retailers has successfully raised over £6000 for Willen Hospice. The event, held at the Carlton House Club in Olney, was a vibrant celebration of fashion, community, and philanthropy.

Attendees enjoyed an evening filled with style and glamour, featuring the latest collections from Olney’s leading fashion boutiques. Our very own Olney shop also took centre stage, showcasing a stunning selection of pre-loved occasion-wear from its upstairs boutique in the town.

Jane and Marihelen

The event was organised by Jane Sumner from Noa Noa and Marihelen Esam, a trustee at Willen Hospice. Together, they ensured a smooth and entertaining experience for all who attended. The fashion show was complemented by a lively raffle and auction, where guests had the opportunity to win a variety of prizes, generously donated by local businesses and individuals. Delicious canapes were served courtesy of The Olney Pancake Parlour.

Kate Broadhurst, CEO of Willen Hospice, attended the event and expressed her gratitude to everyone who contributed to its success. “We are incredibly grateful to our community in Olney for their unwavering support,” she said. “The funds raised tonight will go a long way in helping us continue our vital work in providing compassionate, palliative care to those who need it most.”

The evening concluded with a heartfelt thank you to all participants, including the models, retailers, sponsors, and volunteers who made the event possible. Their combined efforts ensured that the fashion show was not only a memorable experience but also a meaningful contribution to a worthy cause.
