Patient Care Support Programme

Join our In-Patient Unit nursing team to care for patients and their families

This placement will require a regular commitment of 1 shift per week for 3 or 4 hours (evenings or weekends) for a period of
6 months commencing in March 2024.

Based on our newly refurbished In-Patient Unit at the Hospice, your role will be to practically support and work closely with our nursing team, to deliver care to our patients and their family and friends. During your placement you will also undertake a programme of training based on the standards of The Care Certificate.

You will be a pleasant and confident communicator who can demonstrate motivation and commitment to learning and have a passion for a career in healthcare. Any experience of supporting community initiatives through volunteering or employment, in addition to appropriate GCSE grades will also be preferable.
