Business Club

Join our Business Club to network with other business people in the local area

Networking gives you a great opportunity to introduce yourself and your company to other local business people. By joining our monthly Business Club you’ll be meeting and making valuable connections with like-minded businesses that support Willen Hospice.

We meet ‘virtually’ via Zoom. As a member or guest you’ll have a chance to introduce yourself and your company. During the short, informal breakout sessions, you’ll chat face to face with others in the group and get to know people from a vast range of local companies. We’ll give you information about ways to keep your staff motivated and engaged, with upcoming teambuilding activities, and ways you can get involved if you are looking to support the Hospice. We all love to hear inspiring stories, so every month, we invite speakers to tell us about their own business journeys.

This month we’ll be introducing our guest speaker, Olesya Lane, founder of Slow Fashion Bus  as she talks about establishing her company. Along with the benefits of mending and recycling, she’ll show you how to get started with upcycling your clothes, what to use and where to find it. There will then be an opportunity to ask any questions and discuss the topic.

Willen Hospice Business Club members are welcome to invite guests to join this meeting. We will send the Zoom login to everyone who registers via Eventbrite.

Our Keynote Speaker – Olesya Lane

Olesya is a founder of Slow Fashion Bus ( and her main mission is to inspire others to transform their clothing into joyful, unique and durable garments. She teaches how to mend and upcycle clothes.

She also creates unique garments from discarded fabrics and clothes and this is her way to share joy with others. Olesya had her first upcycling project around 30 years ago – she took her dad’s t-shirt, chopped it into pieces and made a top for herself. She loved working on it and little did she know that this will become her passion later in life.

Olesya made a decision a few years ago to follow her passion. Now she inspires others to be creative and enjoy this journey too.
