Netwalking with Willen Hospice and Adventure Geek

Network outdoors on a relaxing walk around Willen Lake

Join Willen Hospice and The Adventure Geek on 19 May 2021 from 10.30am to 12pm for an outdoor ‘netwalk’ and a chance to meet other local business people in an informal setting. We invite you to take a break from your desk or home office for a one-hour walk around Willen Lake (about 4.18 miles). We’ll meet, have a quick introduction and then set off.

If you have already registered for a netwalk that has been postponed due to COVID restrictions, including our March walk, then there is no need to re-register for our April walk. Please just let  us know if you can join us.

We will walk in two groups of up to 15, with two walk leaders. To adhere to social distancing rules, we’ll walk in twos, then swap halfway round.

It’s £10 to take part, and your money will help us to continue providing free, compassionate care.

Where to meet
The Well, Newport Road, Willen Village, MK15 9AA

What to bring with you
Please bring your own drink and hand sanitiser.

What to wear
Come as you are! Just don’t forget to bring good trainers or walking shoes.

A few guidelines to keep us all safe

  • We will try to adhere to the government’s 2m rule where possible, however, 1m social distancing will be required during the walk at all times.
  • At the beginning of the walk, we will ask everyone to use hand sanitiser as we will be touching stiles and gates during the walk.
  • Your walk leader will not be able to carry personal possessions for you. Please bring a bag to carry sanitiser, drinks, keys, hats or gloves
  • Until restrictions are lifted we are not able to assist each other over stiles or ditches unless we are from the same household, or in a social bubble. With this in mind, you will need to be fit enough to cope with stiles independently.
  • If you wish to bring PPE or masks, please do. All walk leaders will also carry sanitiser, protective gloves and a first aid kit.
  • If you are contacted through “Test and Trace” and have walked with an Adventure Geek group within the previous 48 hours, please notify us and we will pass it on to those who’ve walked.
