Willen Hospice’s Safeguarding Strategy demonstrates an ongoing commitment for Safeguarding to be a priority in all we do. Here is the framework we have in place:
- Safeguarding Adults and Children’s Policy and Procedures
- Designated Safeguarding Leads for adults and children
- Trained champions to recognise domestic violence
- Role- specific mandatory safeguarding training for all our staff, volunteers and trustees
- Enhanced DBS checks for all with direct client or patient contact
- External supervision by CCG Safeguarding lead nurses
- Annual Safeguarding Self assessment Audit for CCG-commissioned services
- Safeguarding clinical leads and a Safeguarding Steering Group including Willen Ventures
- Safeguarding activities regularly monitored in Clinical Effectiveness, Clinical Governance and Senior Management Team
- Collaboration with local Children and Adult Safeguarding stake holders
