When the first Covid-19 lockdown was imposed and shops were compelled to close, our supporters were left with very few places where they could drop their used Tassimo coffee pods.
Heritage & Sons Funeral Directors stepped in and have been collecting used coffee pods for over 18 months.
They’ve gone a step further by delivering them to George Thomson at Charity Recycling MK at their own expense and in their own time. During this period they made over 25 trips and delivered approximately 280 black bin bags full of Tassimo pods.
David Lloyd, Principal Funeral Director said “We estimate that each trip has raised just over £100, making a grand total of just shy of £3000.00 raised through George for Willen Hospice and his other chosen charities. Due to TerraCycle withdrawing from this local scheme and joining forces with the PodBack it is unfortunate that the local charities that have been so generously supported, will lose out.”
