Congratulations to Olivia, aged 7, from Tickford Park Primary School in Newport Pagnell
Olivia’s amazing design was chosen as the winner of the Willen Hospice 2023 Schools Christmas Card Competition. Back in November we challenged local Infant and Primary schools in Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas to design a virtual Christmas Card to send to our wonderful supporters.
We asked local school children aged 11 and under to design our card, there were no restrictions on the image the children could create. Kelly, our Schools Fundraiser has been very busy in the run up to the Christmas period visiting local schools holding their own Santa Dash! fundraising events with Santa and our Christmas Float. Kelly and our volunteers have also loved joining in many of the School Christmas Fayres taking place in our local area.
Our Christmas email is sent out to thank our community for their incredible support over the last year, and we were honoured to feature Olivia’s design which included a festive version of the Willen Hospice Swan logo in a very seasonal setting. The competition closed on Monday 18 December and we notified a delighted Olivia and the runners up, the day after.
We’ve really enjoyed spending time with so many amazing young fundraisers in 2023 across Primary and Secondary schools in Milton Keynes and beyond and hope meet many more in 2024!
