We are serious about looking after any personal information you may share with us during the volunteer application process. We collect information for several purposes, including managing the application process, assessing suitability for the role and deployment of successful volunteers.

Various types of personal information may be collected from you during the volunteer application process, including name and contact details, contents of any CV or application form and professional qualifications. We may also collect information in order to promote equality of opportunity for disabled volunteer applicants. We will only collect personal information where it is lawful for us to do so.

We share your information with selected third parties, such as the company that manages our volunteer database. We may share information with certain third parties if we are compelled to do so by law.

All personal information you provide is held in accordance with current data protection laws. You have certain rights over the processing of your personal data, such as the right to ask what details we are holding about you, and the right to ask us to correct any information that you find is wrong.

Our systems are secure and regularly reviewed, and our staff are trained in their use.
