We couldn’t provide our care without the support we receive from volunteers

Volunteering with us can be really rewarding. It gives you an opportunity to socialise, develop new skills and gain experience.  Our roles are varied and include; supporting our nurses with patient care, welcoming visitors as a receptionist or helping in one of our shops.  If these are not what you had in mind, you might like to offer your time to help us with administrative tasks in our offices, the maintenance of our beautiful gardens next to the lake or sorting donations in our distribution centre.

How does it work?

Decide how much time you would like to offer.  We will try to find a role that matches your availability, whether that’s regular hours weekly, monthly or ad hoc. Please also let us know if you have any particular interests, experience or a specialist skill that you’d like to put to good use.

How to apply

Meet one of our volunteers

For some of the amazing people who give up their time for Willen, volunteering is completely new. Rosie began volunteering at our Grafton Gate Outlet Store in April last year and is really pleased she did. “I’ve never volunteered like this before, so this is my first experience and I thoroughly enjoy it.”

Not only does Rosie enjoy the sociable side and the opportunity to give back to her local community, volunteering also helps to improve her own happiness.  “I’m finding it very helpful for my own mental health and wellbeing so if anyone wants to do it I can’t recommend it highly enough. It’s brilliant.”
