Our Tree of life offers you a perfect way to remember a loved one. Whether you have been supported by Willen Hospice or elsewhere, when you dedicate a leaf on our Tree of Life, you’ll be creating a special and poignant memory. Your donation will also help Willen Hospice to raise much-needed funds to continue to care for local people.

How we can help you remember someone special

The tranquil setting is the perfect place to gather for anniversaries, birthdays or any time of year.  You’ll have somewhere to come to through the years – a positive and natural environment where you can think about and share memories of loved ones.

How it works

Whilst many of the leaves are for those who have been cared for by Willen Hospice, you are welcome to order a leaf for anyone, wherever they died. Your choice of engraving can include their name, dates, messages, or quotes.

You can use the ribbon we provide or choose your own ribbon to personalise it, then hang it with family and friends, when you’re ready.

We ask for a suggested regular donation of either £10 a month or £120 a year. The first £30  Your donation will pay for the leaf and the engraving, after that you can increase, decrease or stop your regular donation at any time. You can have the leaf on the Tree of Life for as long as you wish and we promise we will look after it for you.

Your gift could pay towards physiotherapy to help patients walk again and visit the lake or support children’s bereavement sessions for young people not coping very well with the loss of someone. If you choose to donate regularly, you will be helping us to continue to care for the years and months ahead, for when people need us most.

You will always be welcome at Willen to remember your loved ones.

Our Tree of Life was handcrafted by local artist and blacksmith, Will Jones. He worked in collaboration with a local retired landscape architect, Brian Mitchell, who created the Peace Garden. The project was initially made possible thanks to funding from the Albert Hunt Trust. Recently Charterhouse Medical UK, with the help of Elite Lawn Solutions and landscape architect Phil Hewitson, have funded the development of the Peace Garden with uplighting and beautiful planting done by their fantastic staff.
