About us

Our Willen Hospice Bookshop, Stony Stratford is run solely by volunteers who give up their time, and also happen to have a great knowledge of books. We know about bestsellers, genres, authors, fiction and non-fiction editions too. Whether you are looking for contemporary novels, paperback or hardcover; folio volumes or maybe a perfect gift….we are sure to help you find a tome to suit.

Crime fiction is our bestseller. We also have a large stock for our younger clients – from Board Baby books to Teen Fiction. All our books have been donated and we often receive comments from customers, complimenting us on the quality of our stock. Share the joy of reading! Check out our Facebook page: Willen Hospice Bookshop, Stony Stratford.

Donations
We welcome donations during opening hours only. Please do not leave books outside when the shop is closed as the contents risk being stolen or being damaged by the weather. As we have limited space – if you have a large quantity of books to donate, please drop them off at our Kiln Farm distribution centre.

Thinking about volunteering?
Did you know, our bookshop is run entirely by a team of volunteer bookworms? Running the shop takes time and dedication, so if you have been thinking about volunteering for Willen Hospice, this is the perfect opportunity to help us. You’ll be giving something back to your local community and learning valuable retail skills along the way. Head to our retail volunteering page for details. You can book a free, short taster session to see if you like it.
