We kicked off the Easter Holidays with our very first Willen Hospice Staff Family Easter egg hunt. This was made possible thanks to a donation from incredibly supportive local Business, Jardine Motors.

We know how busy life can get as a working parent and we share so many stories with our colleagues about our children. Every moment of family time is always appreciated, and all the mini members of our Willen Family are so very important in making us smile (most of the time!)

For our specialist palliative care team, days can be emotionally challenging and that hug at the end of the day means so much.

We kicked off the Easter Holidays with our very first Willen Hospice Staff Family Easter egg hunt. This was made possible thanks to a donation from incredibly supportive local Business, Jardine Motors.

This year, we want to bring our wider Willen families together as much as we can, especially as we have retail colleagues across three counties, different shift patterns at the Hospice and those working from home and out in our community.

We welcomed around 30 children and their families to the Hospice and it was so lovely to meet those little ones we hear so much about.

Thanks to Jardine Motors generosity we were able to reward each of our egg-hunters with an Easter egg and the cuddly bunny was won by the child with the most!

It was really important to us that we involved our colleagues who were working, so we asked some of our nurses to hide around 200 mini eggs around the Hospice gardens for the children to find.

We also know from experience how much our patients in the In-Patient Unit and their families enjoy seeing the activities and events we often hold at the Hospice, and we are incredibly proud that we can help create fond memories of their time here.

We received many comments from patients and their families who thoroughly enjoyed the view of the egg-hunting children from their window.
